Lamont Duverne aka -Young Gullie, an individual artist, is defined by his raw truth, urban soul, and pure hip-hop. Growing up in the Valley and challenged by life’s obstacles he found music to be his only way to channel his struggle. Discovering his innate talent to freestyle at the ripe age of thirteen, he established that music was going to be a part of his life whether he liked it or not. Graduating from Burbank High School, he was driven to be a successful artist because being on his own there was no Plan B. No matter what it takes he needs to make it, because for him music is life and life is music. “Music for me is when people are able to get the feeling that I get when I am in the booth delivering my sixteen and it makes me feel accomplished, knowing that I made them look at something different just through something as simple as music.”

Young Gullie is currently working on his second album, Big City Records Inc, Presents The Fresh Prince of Valifornia. This album is the introduction to the world letting them hear something fresh and original. He has a unique style that is filled with versatility and ultra swag. Currently the final CD is in production and is soon to be packaged and sold to local fans. Young Gullie has recently performed at Vertigos in Los Angeles to a sold out crowd, and at a local venue known as the CIA twice. He resides in the booth at least once a week putting out two to three tracks per session. Young Gullie is determined to have his music heard but not only the hip hop genre but by all music fans around.

Young Gullie established Big City Records in 2008 with his producer/partner Christopher Massey. His producer known as Massbeats creates all the original beats for his music and can be heard on his upcoming album. They have collaborated and worked as a team for the past five years, and together put out bangers. Young Gullie plans to further his career by booking local shows, opening for rising acts, and eventually booking a state tour. His main goal is to create a big enough fan base to have them requesting his music on mainstream radio stations.

Young Gullie’s music is a new sound and is currently reminding fans of what hip hop truly is. His new album isn’t a typical rapper album, because he’s an MC known for Moving Crowds. His words have meaning, aggression, and soul. In reality, music can chance the world, and I’m just trying to be that change. Look for my new album coming soon! ..
