In the past few years Trashton Porter, has put together a small recording studio in Tampa, Florida. He writes and records his original music and plays guitar, harmonica, bass, slide guitar, and all of the vocals. He has a wonderful voice and a very distinctive sound. His songs are in many genres. Blues, Rock, soft ballads, Christian, Reggae, Rap, and Hip Hop, are some of the genres represented. The industry frowns on an artist that crosses over genres. Trashton has love for almost all music. Trashton says,"Taking in nourishment through music is much like eating your favorite foods. You tire of the same taste over and over. I mix up the recipes for music. That is why much of my music defy's genre classification".
Trashton wrote 9 songs that are directed at the BP oil spill that Trashton refers to as, "Oilageddon". Trashton, wrote and recorded these songs in many different genres. All of these songs remain in rotation on World News.com (wn.com) and the cutting edge U.K. site, NME (New Music Entertainment) .com. On September 8, 2010 Trashton wrote and recorded, "Any Real Christian." This song was inspired by Pastor Terry Jones. He had plans to burn The Quran on the anniversary of 911 trade center massacre. This song was aired on several news shows. Protesters played this song on loudspeakers in front of The Dove World Outreach Center (run by pastor Jones) on September 11, 2010. Most recently Trashton wrote and recorded, "End of the 13th Baktun". This song is inspired by the Mayan Prophecy of December 21, 2012. The "sync" possibilities (video) for this song are enormous. The publisher or label that picks up the contract on this song will score big. When it comes to ballads, Trashton Porter is a genius. "It Feels Like Yesterday" and "Your Love is Like a Riptide" are sensational. You may listen to most of Trashton Porter's songs on Youtube. We have made a decision to self-produce an EP (short album of 5 songs) that will be offered on I-Tunes, Rhapsody, Napster, and all other major outlets. The EP is due to be released in December 2010. I have been working with Trashton for about 9 months. Nobody works harder than Trashton Porter. He is one of the most creative artists that I have ever represented. Truly, a gifted songwriter and performer. Keep your eyes and ears opened. Trashton Porter is going to make his mark on society. |
