The Vanity Clause create a sound fusing classic 80's alt-pop with a twisted, experimental edge, contrasting strong melodies and hooks with frenzied beats and furious Moog action! Regularly gigging since 2007, we keep our live set up as 'hands on' and energetic as humanly possible, eschewing laptops, jumping between synths and performing like we mean it!

In 2009 we played extensively in and around London at venues such as the Notting Hill Arts Club (Back to Nature), the Hope and Anchor, Water Rats, The Purple Turtle, Cafe De Paris and many others. We also played in Berlin and are currently putting the finishing touches to our debut self produced album, some tracks from this have already made it into the live set.
