On May 15th, 2007, Tanner Horn and the Astronauts Before Breakfast released their debut CD. The self- titled CD presents an exciting mix of indie, funk, and soul to create a vibrant new sound in rock and roll.
TH&TABB perform music that is far from the ordinary, combining an eclectic, yet cohesive, mix of instruments and styles. A recent review of “Hole in My Soul,” stated, “Edgy and erotic. This song is just loaded with sexual energy. It sounds like what would happen if seventies era Rolling Stones had a party with The Eagles Of Death Metal.” Tanner and the band are well known in the L.A. and Hollywood music scene, having played in venues such as The Roxy, The Stone, BB King’s, Lava Lounge, and The Gig on Melrose. In early 2007, the band went into the studio and recorded their debut EP. Loaded with radio ready tunes, "Astronauts Before Breakfast," is an in-depth look at modern culture. With the tracks "Crazy Days," "My Perverted Mind," and "My Whole Life", it is also an honest reflection of a life lived to the fullest, with no regrets, in a time of many trials and tribulations, as a young artist is coming of age. The first single from the CD is “Panica” a vivacious romp through the mind of a young man…. listeners of a wide variety of music will enjoy. The group started as a trio, but embraced new sounds and ideas and has grown into the current five member ensemble including lead singer Tanner Horn, who also plays rhythm guitar and piano; drummer Nick Urbom; lead guitarist and bassist Aaron Rosenberg; and background vocalists Ben Cain and Lisa Lee. The band’s unique sound is rooted in the pan-American experience but finds its voice in the City of Angels. |
