SongVault Artist Profile
British Columbia, Canada
S&M is a production team in Vancouver that started in 2009 when local composer/producer James Sadoway and singer/songer Jerome Mandrake teamed up to create thier own take on canadian pop music. While living vicariously through thier lyrics, the team is moulding thier strenths to create new indipendant tunes.
Producing for the last ten years, Sadoway has put music above everything else. His first major release was his Sarah McLachlan remix: The First Noel. After recieving a formal education in audio engineering, James Sadoway continues to expand and fine-tune his techniques. Collabrating with different artists across north america has exposed him to new styles of producing.
Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Mandrake the magician, Jerome began performing acoustically at age seventeen around town and abroad. With the release of two albums, and collaborations with some of Vancouver's production and performing talent, Jerome has played a variety of venues, including opening up for Deborah Cox's 2008 tour.
S&M performs with live dancers and is aspiring to create a vaudeville-esque experience through their music.
