Listen to Michael Stillwater
"Michael's music...a touch of Grace" -Ram Dass

"Divinely inspired"- Sri Swami Satchidananda

"Michael Stillwater deeply touches the heart with his intuitive healing songs, a great medicine for body and soul without harmful side-effects" -Wolfgang Bossinger, music therapist, singing researcher, author of "The Healing Power of Singing"

A singer/songwriter, recording artist, keynote performer and educator, Stillwater focuses on the healing dimension of song, with an emphasis on contemporary chant and spontaneous songmaking. Now residing in Switzerland and touring internationally, he has shared his songs while supporting others to encounter their spirituality and awaken their creativity in America, Europe and Australia for over 30 years.

Each of Stillwater's recordings is designed for a specific healing purpose; several of these distinctions are described below:

"The Honoring: Songs For Healing, Empowerment And Awakening" Thirteen songs created spontanouesly by musical intuitive Stillwater in Honoring Ceremonies throughout Europe and America. Via the invisible connection between us, a song inspired by one individual's request becomes meaningful to others. Themes of healing, empowerment, relationship and awakening are woven throughout every ceremony. These songs have been selected from hundreds, the original live recordings then accompanied by cello, bass, percussion, and vocal harmonies in the studio.

"ChantWave At Grace Cathedral: Universal Chants Of Spirit" (2006), features contemporary chants recorded and assembled from three ChantWave events (2004-2005) at the largest Cathedral west of the Mississipi. Predominantly English lyrics make their meaning understandable to a wide audience, supportive of awakening whether on an individual path or adhering to a spiritual tradition. An audience of 300 voices, with accompanying musicians Gary Malkin (piano), Christina Quinn (vocal), Blueworld (native flute).

"O Great Spirit: Contemporary Chants And Healing Songs" (2008) is a live concert at Center for Spiritual Living in Seattle, is also featuring contemporary chants easy for singing with.

"JourneySongs: Music From The Threshold" (1998), originally commisioned as an inspirational gift for 10,000 nurses in a national health system, features songs of hope and release created during his musical work with hospice patients and their families.

"Graceful Passages: A Companion For Living And Dying [Book & 2CD set]" (New World Library, 2000) is designed with music and messages for anyone facing anticipated loss, transition, or grief. Used as an inspirational resource, Graceful features the spoken voices of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Ram Dass, Thich Naht Hanh, Arun (Mahatma Gandhi's grandson) and other spiritual guides from different traditions, including a touching rendition of 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' by Gospel artist Linda Tillery.

"Care For The Journey: Messages And Music For Sustaining The Heart Of Healthcare" (2005), produced through Companion Arts, is designed for reducing stress for those in a healthcare profession. Both recordings are spoken word/music blends co-created with Emmy Award-winning film composer Gary Malkin, and have received positive response from a large audience.

SongSourcing™, the practice of allowing songs to be born (as distinct from the venerable craft of songwriting), emphasizes the natural creative songmaker within everyone. His upcoming book/CD, "SongSourcing: Spontaneous Songmaking For Health and Harmony" (2009), is a resource for supporting anyone in awakening their inner songmaker.

"There is a songwriter in everyone. Michael Stillwater's SongSourcing...helps remove internal barriers, allowing the inner songwriter to be free to create."
-Donny Pike, composer (former singer/songwriter of The Lettermen)

"SongSourcing is a great opportunity to promote internal education. Through a creative process of integration across multiple domains, Michael invites us to participate in an incredible experience of letting the inside out, supporting wellbeing in our lives." -Dan Siegel, MD, author,' The Mindful Brain' and 'The Developing Mind'

Inner Harmony handles the publishing and sales of his music. Song Without Borders is initiative he founded for awakening the song of the world, offering retreats and trainings focused on the healing power of song, fiscally sponsored by 501 c3 nonprofit Companion Arts.
