MERRY CITOLI lights up the stage like an explosion of sunlight. Her versatile vocal talent has excited audiences from Minneapolis to Santa Fe. Performing since age 11, Merry has worked on many recording projects, and won a nationwide talent search that landed her a coveted spot on the famed “Diamonds In The Rough” CD series. She has since released a solo CD “Phantoms,” which secured a publishing contract for two songs off the CD with DMS Producers, a New York Publishing firm that places for Film and T.V.
Merry is also a talented songwriter, learning her craft under the tutelage of RCA Records’ producer Bob Harrington. Multi-talented Merry has even written the scores for two video productions, and hopes to compose further soundtracks for film and TV.
Merry gives freely of her talent to charitable causes, such as writing and performing on “The Innocents” CD to raise money for Seattle’s child abuse shelters. She has made time in her hectic schedule to be a Big Sister to girls in need of a friend and role model and is the founder of “The Shelter For Synchronistic Healing, Inc.,” a non-profit organization that helps homeless, chronically ill women.
Merry’s talent is wide ranging. She wrote and recorded a single “Someday When Christmas Never Ends,” with her sister Gina for a Minneapolis DJ. Just one airing of the song lit up the KJO-104 switchboard. “Someday” became the hottest record of the season on a rock and roll station! The girls’ hot single was later aired by dozens of stations stretching from Chicago to Seattle. Said K-JO program director Gary Rawn, “Someday” has tremendous potential as an American holiday standard.”
Merry has studied keyboard and voice at Colorado State University, is a member of the Minnesota Music Academy, and a writer/publisher member of ASCAP. Most recently Merry has authored a book on healing, which made the semi-finals for best spiritual self-help book in The Hollywood Spiritual Film and Entertainment Festival along with several of her songs.
Merry's song "Phantoms" is currently being released on the Just Talents CD in 40 countries and she has received an honorable mention for her song The Shadow in this years song contest for The National Singer/Songwriter's Association.
