Matthew Becker is a Canadian composer who began to show an interest in writing music at a young age. He first composed a piece at the age of sixteen, and since then has dedicated his studies in the field of theory, harmony and composition.

Though Glass-stained Forest contains classical elements, it also has a modern flair. Different types of sounds from the ambient, electronic sounds of new age and even some rock can be found in this album.
