At the age of 16 Lucie Evans has already collected an army of fans addicted to her unique soulful voice with a mischievous rock edge.
But the Warrington songstress won’t stop until she has achieved world domination; a goal which one listen to her songs is enough to convince you can’t be far away.
Surrounded by a close supportive family Lucie has been performing since she was four, when she would sing Carpenters hits with her mum and great-granddad. Seeing the Spice Girls in concert when she was just five and raised on singers such as Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, Lucie developed a keen interest in pop music.
Weekend visits to stage school and karaoke performances on family holidays saw her win plaudits from all who heard her, which soon led to winning song competitions across the UK. In 2008 she won the grand prize in the national Festival Of Stars.
Lucie says her influences are artists like Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce and Katy Perry, though she is determined to develop her own, instantly recognisable, vocal style.
In February 2009 Lucie proved her popularity with the public when she won the £100,000 grand prize in online talent competition 1Click2Fame.com.
After recording tracks with Norwegian production maestros D-Sign she was off to LA and recording with inspirational producer Marshall Altman, who put together a white-hot group of musicians to complement her voice. Guitarists Michael Chavez and Phil Eisler, drummer Aaron Sterling, bassist Jon Button and keyboard player Zak Aire have between them played with music royalty like Robbie Williams, Queen Latifa, Sheryl Crow and Shakira, and now they have added Lucie to their list of great artists.
News of Lucie’s incredible vocal talents spread quickly in LA and she was invited to meet celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who asked her to perform at one of his exclusive parties.
Since returning to the UK Lucie has continued performing and creating more ambitious and diverse songs.
She is currently rehearsing a band for live shows and plans one day to take them on a world tour…
