Kevin "K-Bee" Bridges
New York, United States
Christian / Gospel
K-Bee, born Kevin Jermaine Bridges is a native New Yorker with southern roots. He is a
singer/songwriter/producer/musician. He grew up in the small Long Island hamlet of
Wyandanch, NY. K-Bee’s vocal style is unique, blending the sounds of gospel, R&B, soft rock, pop and jazz. His musical influence came predominantly from his father, the late Gene Bridges, a local renowned singer in Long Island and in his home of Mississippi. K-Bee’s musical training and career began at the tender age of three. As he got older, he developed other musical talents – playing the saxophone then, many other instruments and songwriting.
Throughout the years, K-Bee has toured internationally and around the country singing
R&B and Gospel music. K-Bee got his first taste of large audiences when the local Long
Island R&B group Second Chance was formed. One of the original members of the group
is Bryant Pearson (American Gangster, Miracle at St. Anna). Second Chance shortly
dismantled, but K-Bee continued to sing with other different groups. He worked for JD Lawrence (Play writer of Scissors, Clean Up Woman, Me & Mrs. Jones) working with artists Mark Middleton
of Blackstreet and CeCe Peniston. During this time also, K-Bee was singing background with the local gospel quartet group The Chords of Joy, where his father was the longtime lead singer. In 1993, his father started his own gospel group called the Wings of Faith. They combined quartet gospel singing with R&B, which was rarely heard at that time. The Wings of Faith traveled around the country singing with some of the country’s top quartet groups. Additionally, K-Bee sang with the award winning choirs, Voices of Hope and Long Island Voices. KB began to develop his other talents in music production and engineering by working for different artists learning everything he could about production. In 2002, K-Bee joined the production team Groundwurk Entertainment.
In 2003, K-Bee accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and decided to sing only
Gospel/Inspirational music. In that same year, his father suffered an accidental death. K-Bee was devastated and went into a depression, ready to give up his music career altogether.
Through constant prayer and faith, he came out of depression and took over the Wings
of Faith to keep his father’s legacy alive until the group’s retirement in 2007. That same year he became an ordained Deacon. In late 2007 he started to take his talents to another level and built his first production studio. During that time K-bee started getting a closer relationship with Christ, then he felt the urge to start singing again. So in August 2008, K-Bee started singing & touring with the group Jeff Roberson & Nu-LIFE. In 2009 K-Bee started KJB Entertainment LLC with his partner and long-time friend, Michael “Deep” Francis. Since the company started, doors have been opening left and right. The company now has an Inspirational Division which K-Bee is the President as well as one of the artist on the label. Also a film company was birthed from the vision of his business partner Michael “Deep” Francis called, Jetfarm Pictures.
K-Bee is a member of The House of Judah in West Sayville, NY where he’s under the leadership of Pastor Steven Mangum.
K-Bee also released his singles “Transformation” & “Can’t Do It Alone” in June 2011 and currently writing and producing for other artists, as well as putting the finishing touches on his first project as a solo artist.
