Kendrick Jackson is a multi talented singer,songwriter,producer and
also a very fine actor. You actually would be hard pressed to call
this veteran of the industry a new comer. Kendrick was born in Memphis
Tn a city with a rich musical history that helped cultivate his
amazing gifts. He grew up singing in the church and at an early age
realized that something different happened to people when he began to
sing. Blessed with many talents Kendrick quickly excelled at sports
and academics,but he knew that his first love was being on stage. He
received his first acting job with a local drama group in Memphis
called Creative Life Inc. and was the youngest member of an all adult
cast. He was only 15 at the time and discovered his second love! Soon
after he decided that this was the business for him. After finishing
school.Kendrick pursued his singing career by landing a job as a
background singer for the legendary Memphis based group The Barkays.
After a year he began receiving other offers to backup other national
artist. Unsatisfied with being in the background he began to make his
move in the industry from writing and producing other artist to
starting his own management and entertainment company. Unwilling to
accept the status quo that major record labels offered,he was
determined to learn the entertainment industry from the "back door" to
the "front office." This gave Kendrick invaluable experience which
enabled him to become an extremely shrewd business man and made him
particular adept at handling practical matters. This made him a very
hot commodity amongst his peers. With his experience and gift of gab
Kendrick was able to maneuver his way through closed doors with the
savvy and skill of a true veteran. After working for years at helping
others obtain their goals,Kendrick decided the time was right for him
to pursue his dreams. He has appeared in numerous stage plays,most
recently the hit stage play Gossip,Lies,and Secrets with an all star
cast that featured Malik Yoba,Lisa Raye, Clifton Powell,Kenya Moore,
Christopher Williams,Blue Cantrell and Robin Givens. He also was
featured in the hit play "Where I Find My People" that starred Sherman
Hemsley, Melba Moore, Kelly Price, Monifa, and Dave Hollister. With
his silky smooth vocals and his desire to reach the top,this young man
is destined for greatness and is sure to become a captivating force
for many years to come.
