BIGG NORTH's BIO:
Standing 6’8” and weighing in at 245 pounds on a very athletic frame, Bigg North look’s more like a small forward for the NBA than a talented Hip-Hop artist and producer. But then again look’s can be deceiving. The Southern California native Bigg North is definitely no newcomer to the Hip-Hop scene, having produced tracks for a number of established Hip-Hop and R&B acts such as Daz Dillinger of Tha Dogg Pound, Bad Azz, Infamous G-Unit’s 40 Glocc, Kokane and many more. Besides being a hot up and coming producer he is a masterful song writer, and exciting recording artist. “I’m not a gangsta, but I can get gangsta if you really wanna trip. And I’m not quite a backpacker. My sound is kind of a blend of the two. I‘m serious when needed, but I’d rather be having some fun.” North explains “When you hear Bishop Lamont, Sly Boogy, or myself we are the new sound of the west coast, It’s gonna sound a little different. The flow, the tracks we rhyme on and everything. I have a song called THA NU LEFT COAST. I feel that title sum’s up my music. It’s a fresh and new sound, coming out of the left coast” . North has recorded more than enough songs necessary for a full length album, and he is still in the studio adding to the abundance of good music he already has. “I want every song to sound like it’s a single” and so far North is doing just that. The edgy, street banger, and album title track “PLATINUM ON THE BLOCK” is an excellent example of what you can expect from this new west coast movement. Bigg North shows versatility, and a smoothness that the ladies will be able to appreciate with the sincere “NATURAL HIGH” featuring Hip-Hop veteran Kokane on the hook. Showing some versatility Bigg North is sure to not disappoint in the club with the catchy, and comedic “MYSPACE HO”. Other notable tracks include the rough, street anthem “MASTERMIND” and the lyrically vicious “LOOSE COLLER“. Bigg North is definitely going to shock and awe the Hip-Hop community with the release of his first album, and a talent like his is sure to be around for the long haul. So it looks like the name North suits him very appropriately because he is headed for the top of the music industry, maybe even the top of the world.
