ARTWORK is a rock band based out of Hoboken, New Jersey -- minutes away from the bright city lights of New York City. Since forming in 2009, ARTWORK quickly gained attention from the songwriting community by crafting songs that build a bottomless bond with listeners. Infusing rock elements with pop sensibilities, the band's essence is undeniably captivating. "ARTWORK paints a canvas... you'd be sorry to miss out on!" - Daniel C. Morrison/Alternative Revolt Magazine.
ARTWORK consists of Darren Fisher (Vocals, Guitar), Jaime "Muneca" Munoz (Bass), and James Garcia (Guitar). Originally a solo artist, Darren began cutting his songwriting teeth in the NY/NJ underground scene. Meanwhile, Jaime and James played together in numerous bands before meeting Darren through mutual friends. From there, ARTWORK was born and has been firing on all cylinders ever since. ARTWORK provided tour support for 2AM Club (RCA Records) before returning to Hoboken to record their debut EP.
"Just to Feel Alive", the trio's forthcoming effort was self-recorded at Soundwar Studios, produced by Jaime Munoz, mixed by Dan Korneff (Breaking Benjamin, A Day to Remember, Paramore), and mastered by Richard Dodd (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Kings of Leon, Dixie Chicks). Since then, OurStage.com voted the band’s first single, "Skies", as #1 Rock song in 2010 and The New York Songwriters Circle regularly features ARTWORK as a showcase artist. Additionally, “Skies” is the highest rated and most played song on SongCircleMusic.com.
