Jon Mullane has already gained renown throughout the world with his work as Jonathan M – which includes three international albums, seven radio charting singles, an extensive list of concert appearances, and a music video that played the international film festival circuit. With his brand new CD, The Source, released in Canada through the new Universal distributed imprint , Prism Music in the Fall of 2007, Jon has created his most personal record yet – choosing it as the first release to be issued by Jon Mullane. “I’d grown so much through my experiences performing nationally and internationally. And that evolution – both my own and in my music – has all ultimately led to The Source”, states Jon. “It’s definitely the most accurate reflection of who I am as an artist and of the extremely wide range of styles and influences I feel passionate about and which have greatly informed my own music. That was why I felt it was time to take the ’Jonathan M’ experience to the next level and to make my first record as ’Jon Mullane’.”

Produced by longtime industry vet David Rashed (of heavyweight Canadian icon, Haywire) and Honeymoon Suite alumnus Creighton Doane, The Source already sounds like it could be a “Greatest Hits” record from start to finish, with each song a uniquely different representation of Jon Mullane’s multi-dimensional melodic rock. Having played guitar since the age of 12, performing continuously in bands from the time he was 15, and amassing hit records globally from North America to Germany to Thailand – even topping the worldwide MP3Charts – Jon has garnered his well-deserved reputation as a consummate songwriter and musician, committed to realizing his unique vision on his own terms. Earning his chops in a variety of cover bands, Jon found instant success with his first “Jonathan M” album, Following Yesterday. The debut single and accompanying video, “One More Chance,” both became national hits in Jon’s native Canada, landing him the coveted “Featured Performer” slot on the country’s acclaimed East Coast Music Awards show.

Jon’s follow-up disc, the self-titled, Jonathan M, was produced by no less than Steve Negus, one of the founding members of fellow cult Canadian heroes, Saga. Steve’s decades of experience with the internationally-renowned iconic band merged perfectly with Jon’s own artistic sensibilities, resulting in an international record that crossed continents as effortlessly as it crossed genre boundaries. “I Believe” became a Nation-wide hit – the single entered The Record’s Adult Futures Chart at #4 – and its follow-up single, “Stars,” not only repeated its predecessor’s radio success, but also achieved the remarkable feat of becoming a hit for a second time when the song topped MP3Charts.com in 2005! The third “Jonathan M” album, Day After Day, spawned three international singles, including “Let It Go,” “Take What You Want” and the title track, which topped America’s New Artist Radio Charts.
